Shaq's 90s Spiral Returns Yearly
The Reebok Shaqnosis originally launched in 1995 as one of Shaquille O'Neal's signature shoes during his Orlando Magic run. The defining visual element was the bold spiral panel on the upper, which made the shoe instantly recognizable and gave it its name. Underfoot, Reebok used Hexalite in both the heel and forefoot for cushioning, paired with a basic rubber outsole that proved durable enough for outdoor play. WearTesters and other reviewers have revisited the retro releases over the years and noted that despite simple materials, the Shaqnosis remained playable as a hoop shoe. Reebok continues to retro the Shaqnosis on a near-annual basis, often in lifestyle-leaning colorways, and it has become a centerpiece of the brand's basketball heritage offerings.
