Released in 2025, Air Jordan XL arrived in the flagship line at the 40th-model milestone, when Jordan Brand needed to answer criticism of the prior model while still pushing premium cushion. The design intent centered on keeping the high-end ZoomX-plus-Zoom formula but wrapping it in far stronger sidewall support, better traction tuning, and a more premium shell.
