Paul George Goes Lower To The Ground
Nike's 2015 Hyperrev took a more guard-focused tack, slimming the midsole and dropping the heel Zoom in favor of a forefoot-only Zoom setup atop Phylon. The result was a much lower, faster-feeling ride that suited quick, agile players. Paul George wore a player exclusive of the Hyperrev 2015 during his comeback season, and the shoe earned strong reviews from WearTesters and Schwollo for its containment, traction, and on-foot responsiveness. The Hyperposite midfoot cage carried over from 2014 in a refined form, and Flywire lacing kept lockdown tight. The trade-off was less impact protection for bigger players, but for guards and wings the Hyperrev 2015 became a sleeper favorite. It remains one of the better-performing team shoes Nike has put out in the last decade.
