A Polarizing Second Generation
The Cosmic Unity 2 arrived in 2022 and split reviewers more than any shoe in the line. HoopsGeek and RunRepeat called it a top-tier cushioned hoop shoe, while WearTesters slammed it for soft, unstable support, especially under heavier or more explosive players. The setup retained full-length Zoom Air on a Strobel layer over Phylon, with a more aggressive look than the original Cosmic Unity. The upper used recycled engineered mesh, maintaining the line's sustainability angle. Lockdown improved over the first model thanks to a refined lacing system and a more structured heel counter. The Cosmic Unity 2 sold well at retail and was widely available, but its mixed reception meant it never quite hit the cult-status level the first model achieved.
