BOA Meets Pebax At Budget-Flagship Tier
Li-Ning released the Yushuai 13 in September 2023 across high and low cuts, with a CJ McCollum colorway as part of his Li-Ning partnership. The headline tech was BOOM Pebax foam in both forefoot and heel for high-energy-return cushioning, paired with TUFF RB rubber underfoot for grip. Select releases came with a BOA Fit System for dial-based lockdown. The upper used a high-strength nylon TPU woven construction with cross-structure reinforcement, supported by a 1.2mm 65A TPU sidewall and a pallet-type anti-torsion plate. Coverage from KicksCrew, AntoSports, and Novelship documented the build in detail, and the Yushuai team-line continued to find adoption among CBA players and international hoopers. The Yushuai 13 represented one of Li-Ning's most aggressive performance pushes in the budget-flagship tier.
