Guard's Weapon, Cosmically Refined
Launched January 17, 2026 with the 'Blazar' colorway selling out globally within minutes, the Gamma 2 is Li-Ning Basketball's competitive flagship for agile, penetrating guards. Major upgrades over the Gamma 1: Super Boom foam (replacing standard Boom) for greater energy return, a full-length GCU outsole for improved durability and grip, a vacuum-formed suspension upper for sock-like fit and breathability, and an expanded 14-eyelet lacing system (up from 6-7 on the Gamma 1) for tunable lockdown. At 289g per shoe in US size 9, it shaves another 6 grams off the already feather-light Gamma 1. Multiple cosmic-themed colorways followed Blazar: Radiant, Plato, and others. Within the Chinese hoop community, the Gamma 2 is considered the pinnacle of Li-Ning's marathon-inspired basketball platform and proof that Chinese brands now compete at the top tier of guard-shoe engineering.
